Ben's Testimonial:
Ian Moar has been my “go to” violin repair and modification expert for approximately 8 years.
I know him to be a highly skilled and inventive craftsman who works efficiently, with great precision, and is always willing to go “that extra mile” to make sure the job is done right.

Working within the demands studio recording and live performance, I often require difficult repairs and modifications for a number of my violins- both acoustic and electric. Ian has "saved the day" many times... always while maintaining a calm professional manner.

Additionally, the violins Ian has personally built have the qualities of much higher priced instruments. They are wonderfully balanced across all string ranges, and exceedingly responsive.
I look forward to playing his next personally crafted 5 string acoustic violin, and to our continued working association in the future.

Best,
Ben Mink

Eric Wilson:
Associate Professor, Cello Chair, String Division at the UBC School of Music. Eric has won multiple international awards as both a solo cellist and as a member of a number of prestigious ensembles. I've known Eric for several years and worked on many of the instruments in his collection. Eric has referred many of his students to me over the years for both repairs or when they are looking to purchase a fine instrument.
